my family’s fridge lacking what a person might deem “ready-made” food. this project allowed me to reflect on how much we cherish homemade food as a family.the semi-realistic style brought unique challenges, which allowed me to expand my drawing techniques and focus on my attention to detail. it was turning point for my practice.this project served as inspiration for
“pay the price”, spring 2025.

this project was quite the undertaking. I had never worked with plaster up until this point, and was very nervous about using unfamiliar mediums.this labour of love was spurred on by a flurry of intense frustration with life’s circumstances i was coping with at the time. the culmination became a bouquet of
“feminine rage”.
